The photo at the left tells the whole story --- 2300RPM, 20" MP, 164kts (LORAN), 161kts (DME), with each engine burning 6.9gph.

The Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche is one of the most economical twins on the market while being able to fly fast and carry a decent payload. Combined with the lack of extremely complex systems, maintenance is also inexpensive compared to other twins while performance is not sacrificed.

I have flown this plane coast to coast and achieved an average fuel burn of roughly 7.5gph without having to sacrifice on power. With an endurance of over 5 hours, you can truly cross multiple states in a single leg. I have flown coast to coast with just two fuel stops.

Fast, Comfortable, and Economical.
